Living with Mental Illness Monday, Feb. 22, 7:30 p.m. PAC 134, CSU, Chico Join us for a panel presentation by Butte Behavioral Health and the Stamp Out Stigma program to hear discussion of living with mental illness. Music, homelessness, and mental illness are three of the major issues explored in The Soloist. Join us for an in-depth and very personal look at the challenges presented by mental illnesses. At tonight’s panel, Janine Cuellar, MSW and LCSW, coordinator of the Wellness & Recovery Center, will moderate a panel of presentations will focusing on the how schizophrenia, depression, bi-polar, anxiety, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder play out in a given life. Our panelists have lived their lives with many challenges because of their diagnosis, but are now starting to have many successes due to a paradigm shift from the medical model to the recovery model, a model that encourages people to be much more proactive in their treatment.
