Wish List

One of our goals for April is to ramp up our Club Café and Snack Bar. The food services activities in a clubhouse provide a variety of skill building activities such as: cashiering, inventory management, customer service, custodial, commercial kitchen use, time management, supervision, accounting, pricing, and much more. Members who participate in the food services unit of Club Stairways acquire the skills and confidence needed to move into community-based employment as well as improve their own independent living skills.

Given the long-term goal of transitioning into contributing roles in the community, Club Stairways is committed to creating a work environment that simulates everyday experiences in the community as closely as possible. Therefore, we are looking for the following professional quality supplies and equipment to run our Club Café and Snack Bar:

40 - Sets of dishes and silverware: plates, bowls, coffee mugs, drinking glasses, forks, butter knives, and spoons.

40 - Plate covers

20 - Trays

40 - Clothe napkins

5 - Salt and pepper shakers

1 - Large Coffee Pot

1 - Glass Front Display Refrigerator

2 - Recycling Bins

Capital Campaign

Club Stairways is launching its services by leasing space at the Jesus Center. We have designed and renovated an area that will serve us well in our first years of operation. To meet the requirements of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), we must provide easier access and improved restrooms. Our plans have been approved and are ready to implement for building an accessible ramp and to double the capacity of the restroom facilities. The total price tag is $45,000. We have already raised $16,000 but we need an additional $16,000 to start remodeling the bathrooms and $13,000 to complete the accessible ramp.
